ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374G)
RESTRICTED ZONES ON QUEEN'S ROAD WEST AND CENTRE STREET, WESTERN DISTRICT

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374G, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 21 March 2025, the following road sections will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily: —

(a) The southern kerbside lane of Queen's Road West from its junction with Centre Street to a point about 85 metres east of the same junction;
(b) The southern kerbside lane of Queen's Road West from its junction with Centre Street to a point about 20 metres west of the same junction;
(c) The section of Centre Street from its junction with Queen's Road West to a point about 15 metres south of the same junction;
(d) The northern kerbside lane of Queen's Road West from its junction with Centre Street to a point about 20 metres east of the same junction; and
(e) The eastern kerbside lane of Centre Street from its junction with Queen's Road West to a point about 20 metres north of the same junction.

        Within the restricted zone, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from: —

(a) picking up or setting down passengers; or
(b) loading or unloading goods.

        The extent of the restricted zones have been indicated by appropriate road markings.

        At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
