ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374G)
RESTRICTED ZONES IN WESTERN DISTRICT

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374G, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 21 March 2025, the following road sections will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily: —

(a) the southern kerbside lane of Des Voeux Road West from its junction with Water Street to a point about 15 metres west of the same junction;
(b) the western kerbside lane of Water Street from its junction with Des Voeux Road West to a point about 5 metres south of the same junction;
(c) the southern kerbside lane of Des Voeux Road West from its junction with Water Street to a point about 50 metres east of the same junction;
(d) the eastern kerbside lane of Water Street from its junction with Des Voeux Road West to a point about 5 metres south of the same junction;
(e) the northern kerbside lane of Des Voeux Road West from its junction with Water Street to a point about 10 metres east of the same junction;
(f) the eastern kerbside lane of Water Street from its junction with Des Voeux Road West to a point about 60 metres north of the same junction;
(g) the southern kerbside lane of Connaught Road West from its junction with Water Street to a point about 50 metres east of the same junction;
(h) the western kerbside lane of Chiu Kwong Street from its junction with Connaught Road West to a point about 10 metres south of the same junction;
(i) the northern kerbside lane of Des Voeux Road West from its junction with Water Street to a point about 75 metres west of the same junction;
(j) the western kerbside lane of Water Street from its junction with Des Voeux Road West to a point about 25 metres north of the same junction;
(k) the western kerbside lane of Water Street from its junction with Connaught Road West to a point about 25 metres south of the same junction;
(l) the southern kerbside lane of Connaught Road West from its junction with Water Street to a point about 125 metres west of the same junction;
(m) the eastern kerbside lane of Ka On Street from its junction with Connaught Road West to a point about 15 metres south of the same junction;
(n) the northern kerbside lane of Connaught Road West from its junction with the slip road leading from Connaught Road West to Fung Mat Road to a point about 115 metres west of the same junction;
(o) the western kerbside lane of the slip road leading from Connaught Road West to Fung Mat Road from its junction with Fung Mat Road to a point about 35 metres south of the same junction;
(p) the southern kerbside lane of Fung Mat Road from its junction with the slip road leading from Connaught Road West to Fung Mat Road to a point about 45 metres west of the same junction;
(q) the northern kerbside lane of Connaught Road West from its junction with the slip road leading from Connaught Road West to Fung Mat Road to a point about 80 metres east of the same junction;
(r) the eastern kerbside lane of the slip road leading from Connaught Road West to Fung Mat Road from its junction with Fung Mat Road to a point about 25 metres south of the same junction;
(s) the southern kerbside lane of Fung Mat Road from its junction with the slip road leading from Connaught Road West to Fung Mat Road to a point 50 metres east of the same junction; and
(t) the northern kerbside lane of Fung Mat Road from a point about 5 metres east of its junction with the slip road leading from Connaught Road West to Fung Mat Road to a point about 50 metres east of the same junction.

        Within the restricted zone, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:—

(a) picking up or setting down passengers; or
(b) loading or unloading goods.

        The extent of the restricted zones have been indicated by appropriate road markings.

        At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
