ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374G)
RESTRICTED ZONES IN CENTRAL DISTRICT
In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374G, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 14 March 2025, the following road sections will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:
(a) The western kerbside lane of Jackson Road between Chater Road and Connaught Road Central;
(b) The southern kerbside lane of Connaught Road Central from its junction with Jackson Road to a point about 120 metres west of the same junction;
(c) The eastern kerbside lane of Jackson Road from its junction with Connaught Road Central to a point about 25 metres south of the same junction;
(d) The southern kerbside lane of Connaught Road Central between Jackson Road and Club Street;
(e) The western kerbside lane of Club Street from its junction with Connaught Road Central to a point about 25 metres south of the same junction;
(f) The northern kerbside lane of Connaught Road Central between Edinburgh Place and Harcourt Road;
(g) The southern kerbside lane of northern section of Edinburgh Place;
(h) The northern kerbside lane of Harcourt Road between Edinburgh Place and Tim Wa Avenue;
(i) The western kerbside lane of Tim Wa Avenue;
(j) The southern kerbside lane of Lung Wo Road between Edinburgh Place and Tim Wa Avenue; and
(k) The eastern kerbside lane of Edinburgh Place from its junction with Lung Wo Road to a point about 45 metres south of the same junction.
Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:
(a) Picking up or setting down passengers; or
(b) Loading or unloading goods.
The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate road markings.
At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
