Special Traffic Arrangements for "2024-2025 Hong Kong Road Cycling Race"

          Notice is hereby given that to facilitate the holding of "2024-2025 Hong Kong Road Cycling Race", the following special traffic arrangements will be implemented in Tseung Kwan O from 3:00 am to 12:30 pm on 16 March 2025 (Sunday).

(A)   Road Closure

The following road sections will be closed to all vehicular traffic, except vehicles with closed road permits issued by the Transport Department, during the specified periods of time.

        (i)   The section of Tseung Lam Highway eastbound between Tseung Lam Highway northbound and Wan O Road; and
        (ii)  The slip road leading from Tseung Lam Highway southbound to Tseung Lam Highway eastbound.


(B
)   Traffic Diversion

(i)  Vehicles on Tseung Lam Highway eastbound heading for Wan O Road will be diverted to Tseung Lam Highway northbound, Po Yap Road eastbound and Wan Po Road southbound;
(ii)  Vehicles on Chui Ling Road eastbound or Po Shun Road southbound heading for Wan O Road via Tseung Lam Highway southbound will be diverted to Po Yap Road eastbound and Wan Po Road southbound; and
(iii) Vehicles on Po Yap Road westbound heading for Wan O Road via Tseung Lam Highway southbound will be diverted to Po Shun Road northbound, roundabout, Po Shun Road southbound, Po Yap Road eastbound and Wan Po Road southbound.


(C)   Attention and Appeal

Appropriate traffic signs and traffic aids will be erected to guide motorists. Motorists are advised to avoid driving to the affected areas, and in case of traffic congestion, motorists should exercise patience and drive with care, and follow the instructions of the Police on site.

Actual road closure time will depend on actual finishing time of the event, and complete clearance for safe re-opening of roads to vehicular traffic. The Transport Department (TD) and the Police will closely monitor the traffic situation. Members of the public are advised to stay alert to the latest traffic news through the media, or may browse the TD's website (www.td.gov.hk) or mobile application "HKeMobility" for the special traffic and transport information.
