ROAD TRAFFIC ORDINANCE (CHAPTER 374)
Temporary Speed Limit on Kwai Chung Road, Kwai Chung
In exercise of the powers vested in me under section 40(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Ordinance, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 a.m. on 14 February 2025 to 8.00 a.m. on 10 May 2025, the following road sections will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 50 kilometres per hour:
- The section of Kwai Chung Road (northbound) from a point about 430 metres south of its southern junction with Container Port Road South to a point about 130 metres north of the same junction; and
- The section of Kwai Chung Road (southbound) from a point about 165 metres south of its junction with Lai King Hill Road (southbound) to a point about 895 metres south of the same junction.
Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists.
At the same time, the existing speed limit of 70 kilometres per hour on the above road sections will be temporarily rescinded.
