ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374)
Restricted Zones in Kwun Tong
In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 10 January 2025, the following road sections will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:-
(a) the northern kerbside lane of Wai Yip Street from a point about 35 metres west of its junction with Shun Yip Street to a point about 35 metres east of the same junction;
(b) the northern kerbside lane of Wai Yip Street from a point about 60 metres west of its junction with Lai Yip Street to a point about 160 metres west of the same junction;
(c) the section of Tai Yip Street from its junction with Wai Yip Street to a point about 10 metres north of the same junction;
(d) the section of Yan Yip Street from its junction with Wai Yip Street to a point about 10 metres north of the same junction;
(e) the unnamed road between Yan Yip Street and Hang Yip Street;
(f) the section of How Ming Street from a point about 20 metres north of its junction with Wai Yip Street to a point about 10 metres south of the same junction;
(g) the section of Wai Yip Street from a point about 25 metres east of its junction with How Ming Street to a point about 25 metres west of the same junction;
(h) the southern kerbside lane of Wai Yip Street from its junction with Kei Yip Street to a point about 10 metres east of the same junction; and
(i) the eastern kerbside lane of Kei Yip Street between Wai Yip Street and Kei Yip Lane.
Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:
(a) picking up or setting down passengers; or
(b) loading or unloading goods.
The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate road markings.
At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
