ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374G)
RESTRICTED ZONES ON TUEN FU ROAD AND HING PING ROAD, TUEN MUN


    In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374G, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 a.m. on 20 December 2024, the following road sections will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:-

  1. the southern kerbside lane of Tuen Fu Road from a point about 15 metres west of its junction with Hing Ping Road to a point about 15 metres east of the same junction;
  2. the western kerbside lane of Hing Ping Road from its junction with Tuen Fu Road to a point about 20 metres south of the same junction;
  3. the eastern kerbside lane of Hing Ping Road from its junction with Tuen Fu Road to a point about 30 metres south of the same junction;
  4. the western kerbside lane of Tuen Fu Road from a point about 60 metres north of its junction with Tuen On Lane to a point about 125 metres north of the same junction;
  5. the eastern kerbside lane of Tuen Fu Road from a point about 60 metres north of its junction with Tuen On Lane to a point about 120 metres north of the same junction; and
  6. the section of Tuen Fu Road from a point about 200 west of its junction with Castle Peak Road – Lingnan to a point about 240 metres west of the same junction.

    Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:-

  1. picking up or setting down passengers; or
  2. loading or unloading goods.

    The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate road markings.

    At the same time, the restricted zones gazetted in G.N. No. 2514 on 15 May 2020 and G.N. No. 5165 on 11 September 2020 will be rescinded.
