ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374G)
RESTRICTED ZONES ON LEUNG TAK STREET AND LEUNG WAN STREET, TUEN MUN
In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374G, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 a.m. on 13 December 2024, the following road sections will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily.
- the northern kerbside lane of Leung Tak Street eastbound from its junction with Leung Wan Street northbound to a point about 40 metres west of the same junction;
- the western kerbside lane of Leung Wan Street northbound from its junction with Leung Tak Street eastbound to a point about 60 metres north of the same junction;
- the southern kerbside lane of Leung Tak Street eastbound from its junction with Leung Wan Street northbound to a point about 30 metres west of the same junction;
- the western kerbside lane of Leung Wan Street northbound from its junction with Leung Tak Street eastbound to a point about 30 metres south of the same junction;
- the eastern kerbside lane of Leung Wan Street southbound from its junction with Leung Tak Street eastbound to a point about 30 metres south of the same junction;
- the eastern kerbside lane of Leung Wan Street southbound from a point about 45 metres south of its junction with Leung Tak Street eastbound to a point about 70 metres south of the same junction; and
- the western kerbside lane of Leung Wan Street northbound from a point about 85 metres south of its junction with Leung Tak Street eastbound to a point about 105 metres south of the same junction.
Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:-
- picking up or setting down passengers; or
- loading or unloading goods.
The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate road markings.
At the same time, the restricted zones gazetted on 23 November 2018 under G.N. No. 8787 will be rescinded.
