Restricted Zones on Hing Shing Road, Ko Fong Street and Wing Fong Road, Kwai Chung

In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374 sub. leg. G, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 a.m. on 1 November 2024, the following road sections will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:

1. the eastern kerbside lane of Hing Shing Road from a point about 35 metres north of its junction with Ko Fong Street to a point about 37 metres south of the same junction;
2. the southern kerbside lane of Ko Fong Street from its junction with Hing Shing Road to a point about 61 metres east of the same junction;
3. the northern kerbside lane of Ko Fong Street from its junction with Hing Shing Road to a point about 75 metres east of the same junction;
4. the southern kerbside lane of Ko Fong Street from a point about 106 metres east of its junction with Hing Shing Road to a point about 131 metres east of the same junction;
5. the northern kerbside lane of Ko Fong Street from a point about 109 metres east of its junction with Hing Shing Road to a point about 131 metres east of the same junction;
6. the eastern kerbside lane of Wing Fong Road from its junction with Ko Fong Street to a point about 7 metres north of the same junction; and
7. the western kerbside lane of Wing Fong Road from its junction with Ko Fong Street to a point about 7 metres north of the same junction.

Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:-

1. picking up or setting down passengers; or
2. loading or unloading goods.

The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate road markings.

At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
