ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (Chapter 374 SUB. LEG. G)
Restricted Zones on Castle Peak Road – Chau Tau, Kwu Tung


          In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374 sub. leg. G, I hereby direct that with effect from 10a.m. on 6 September 2024, the following road sections will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:-

    1. the northern kerbside lane of Castle Peak Road – Chau Tau eastbound from a point about 110 meters west of its junction with Pak Sau Road to a point about 20 meters east of the same junction;
    2. the southern kerbside lane of Castle Peak Road – Chau Tau westbound from a point about 20 meters east of its junction with Pak Sau Road, to a point about 110 meters west of the same junction;
    3. the southern kerbside lane of Castle Peak Road – Chau Tau west bound from the point of its junction with an unnamed access road, immediately before its junction with Pak Sau Road, to a point about 110 meters west of the same junction.

          Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

    1. picking up or setting down passengers; or
    2. loading or unloading goods.

          The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate road markings.
