ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (Chapter 374)
Restricted Zones In Tai Po

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 a.m. on 14 June 2024, the following road sections will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:

    1. the northern kerbside lane of Yau King Lane from a point about 13 metres west of its junction with Pok Yin Road to a point about 52 metres west of the same junction;
    2. the northern kerbside lane of Yau King Lane from a point about 131 metres west of its junction with Pok Yin Road to a point about 168 metres west of the same junction;
    3. the section of Yau King Lane from a point about 201 metres west of its junction with Pok Yin Road to a point about 238 metres west of the same junction;
    4. the southern kerbside lane of Yau King Lane from a point about 13 metres west of its junction with Pok Yin Road to a point about 36 metres west of the same junction;
    5. the southern kerbside lane of Yau King Lane from a point about 133 metres west of its junction with Pok Yin Road to a point about 163 metres west of the same junction; and
    6. the section of the unnamed access road leading to the metered car park near Cheung Shue Tan House No.1 from its junction with Yau King Lane to a point about 10 metres south of the same junction.

        Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

    1. picking up or setting down passengers; or
    2. loading or unloading goods.

        The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

        At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
