ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (Chapter 374)
Restricted Zones In Tai Po

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 a.m. on 24 May 2024, the following road sections will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:

    1. the northern kerbside lane of Dai Shing Street from its junction with Dai Fat Street to a point about 20 metres east of the same junction;
    2. the eastern kerbside lane of Dai Fat Street from its junction with Dai Shing Street to a point about 35 metres north of the same junction;
    3. the western kerbside lane of Dai Fat Street from a point about 35 metres north of its junction with Dai Shing Street to a point about 35 metres south of the same junction; and
    4. the section of Dai Fat Street from a point about 165 metres south of its junction with Dai Shing Street to a point about 230 metres south of the same junction.

        Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

    1. picking up or setting down passengers; or
    2. loading or unloading goods.

        The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs or road markings.

        At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
