Bus Rationalisation of New Territories Bus Route No. 87A

        Members of the public are advised that bus rationalisation of New Territories Bus Route No. 87A will be implemented with effect from 23 August 2014.  The details are as follows: 

        New Territories Bus Route No. 87A will be diverted to observe Tsing Sha Highway and renumbered as 287X.

       (i)            Routeing

                      POK HONG to JORDAN (CIRCULAR) : via Yat Tai Street, Shui Chuen Au Street, Sha Kok Street, Sha Tin Wai Road, Tai Chung Kiu Road, Che Kung Miu Road, Tsing Sha Highway, Lai Po Road, Lin Cheung Road, Jordan Road, Nathan Road, Argyle Street, Cherry Street, Hoi Wang Road, Mong Kok (Park Avenue) Bus Terminus, Hoi Wang Road, Cherry Street, roundabout, Sham Mong Road, Hoi Fai Road, Lin Cheung Road, Tsing Sha Highway, Che Kung Miu Road, Tai Chung Kiu Road, Sha Kok Street, Jat Min Chuen Street, Sha Kok Street and Yat Tai Street.

      (ii)          Fare

                    Full Fare: $7.10 per single journey

                    Section Fare: $5.80 (After Sha Tin Heights Tunnel to Pok Hong)

     (iii)        Operating Hours

                   5.40 am to 12.00 midnight from Mondays to Sundays

      (iv)       Bus Stops Arrangement

              At the same time, to facilitate the implementation of New Territories Bus Route No. 287X, the following arrangements will be implemented on New Territories Bus Route Nos. 86A (Sha Tin Wai - Cheung Sha Wan (Kom Tsun Street) and 87B (Sun Tin Wai - Tai Kok Tsui (Island Harbourview)):

             (i) New Territories Bus Route No. 86A (Cheung Sha Wan (Kam Tsun Street) bound) will be rerouted via Sha Kok Street and Jat Min Chuen Street before resuming its original routeing. The existing bus stops at Sha Tin Wai Road near Greenfield Court and Che Kung Miu Road near Jat Min Chuen will be replaced by new bus stops at Sha Kok Street near Pok Hong Estate and Jat Min Chuen Street.

             (ii) New Territories Bus Route No. 87B (Tai Kok Tsui (Island Harbourview) bound) will be rerouted via Hung Mui Kuk Road and roundabout before resuming its original routeing. A new bus stop will be provided at Hung Mui Kuk Road outside Sun Yuet House.

             Notices will be displayed by the bus company to inform passengers of the above service adjustments.
