Special traffic arrangements for Vehicle Parade in Yau Tsim Mong District on Saturday

The Transport Department today (June 28) reminded people about the special traffic arrangements for the Vehicle Parade in Yau Tsim Mong District on Saturday (June 30).

A spokesman for the Transport Department said that the Vehicle Parade would start from Mong Kok Government Offices to the New World Centre in Tsim Sha Tsui. To facilitate the parade, intermittent closure of traffic lanes on Luen Wan Street, Prince Edward Road West westbound and Nathan Road southbound will be implemented from 4pm to 5pm on Saturday.

The spokesman appealed to people planning to go to the affected areas to use public transport. Motorists are advised to avoid driving to the affected areas. In case of traffic congestion, they should exercise tolerance and patience, and take heed of the instructions given by the Police on site. People are advised to plan their route early, use alternative routes and allow more travelling time to cater for unexpected delay. They should also pay attention to the information on the latest traffic situations broadcast via the mass media.

Details of the special traffic arrangements are available at the Transport Department's website: http://www.td.gov.hk/traffic_notices/index_inmode_3_trafficid_8437.htm.
