Temporary Traffic and Transport Arrangements for a Dragon Boat Race Event in Sha Tau Kok
Members of the public are advised that to facilitate the holding of a dragon boat race event in Sha Tau Kok on 13 April 2025 (Sunday), the following temporary traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented during the specified time periods:
The non-metered parking spaces at the three public car parks near Sha Tau Kok Public Pier will be suspended from 5 pm on 12 April 2025 (Saturday) to 7 pm on 13 April 2025 (Sunday).
The services of KMB Route No. 78K (Sheung Shui – Sha Tau Kok) and New Territories Green Minibus Route No. 55K (Sheung Shui Station – Sha Tau Kok (Shun Lung Street)) will be strengthened on the race day subject to passenger demand.
Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists. The traffic along Sha Tau Kok Road and in the vicinity of Sha Tau Kok is likely to be busier on the race day. Members of the public are advised to use public transport services as far as possible, plan their journey early and allow more travelling time to cater for unexpected delay. Motorists are also advised to avoid driving to the above-mentioned areas and stay alert to the latest traffic news through the media. In addition, members of the public travelling to Sha Tau Kok must hold a valid Closed Area Permit.
