Temporary Traffic Arrangements on San Sham Road, Lok Ma Chau
Notice is hereby given that to facilitate the construction works for the Development of Lok Ma Chau Loop, the following temporary traffic arrangements will be implemented at San Sham Road from 27 March 2025 to 12 April 2025:-
Road Closure
(I) All traffic lanes of San Sham Road (Flyover of cross-boundary goods vehicles) NorthboundAll traffic lanes of the section of San Sham Road (Flyover of cross-boundary goods vehicles) northbound from a point about 520 metres north of its junction with Lok Ma Chau Control Point to the boundary between Hong Kong and Shenzhen will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic from 11:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. of the following day daily on dates as specified below:-
- 27 March 2025;
- 28 March 2025;
- 2 April 2025;
- 3 April 2025;
- 8 April 2025; and
- 9 April 2025.
During the period from 8.00 a.m. on 27 March 2025 to 8.00 p.m. on 12 April 2025, apart from the full closure of all traffic lanes of San Sham Road (Flyover of cross-boundary goods vehicles) northbound as specified in (I) above, the following temporary traffic arrangements will be implemented at San Sham Road (Flyover of cross-boundary goods vehicles):-
Traffic Diversion
(I) San Sham Road (Flyover of cross-boundary goods vehicles) NorthboundDuring full closure of San Sham Road (Flyover of cross-boundary goods vehicles) northbound, a section of San Sham Road (Flyover of cross-boundary goods vehicles) southbound from a point about 570 metres north of its junction with Lok Ma Chau Control Point to the boundary between Hong Kong and Shenzhen will be temporarily converted from one-way southbound traffic to two-lane-two-way traffic. Affected vehicles heading to San Sham Road (Flyover of cross-boundary goods vehicles) northbound will be diverted via the aforesaid temporary northbound traffic lane.
Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists.
As it may take longer travelling time than usual in view of the temporary traffic arrangement, the public are advised to allow more time for their journeys to/from Lok Ma Chau Control Point and the areas in the vicinity.
