Traffic Notices

          In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374G, I hereby direct that with effect from 7 a.m. on 14 March 2025, the following road sections will be temporarily designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:-

• the northern kerbside lane of Ying Tung Road about 120 metres east from its junction with the slip road to Ying Tung Estate to a point about 385 metres east of the same junction; and
• the southern kerbside lane of Ying Tung Road about 160 metres east from its junction with the slip road to Ying Tung Estate to a point about 385 metres east of the same junction.

          Within the above restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:-

• picking up or setting down passengers; or
• loading or unloading goods.

• the southern kerbside lane of Ying Tung Road about 120 metres east from its junction with the slip road to Ying Tung Estate to a point about 160 metres east of the same junction.

          Within the above restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except goods vehicle and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:-

• picking up or setting down passengers; or
• loading or unloading goods.

          The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

          At the same time, the temporary restricted zones as gazetted under G.N. 784 on 7 February 2025 will be rescinded.
