ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374G)
RESTRICTED ZONES ON SHUN TAT STREET, TUEN MUN


    In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374G, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 a.m. on 13 December 2024, the following road sections will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:-

  1. the northern kerbside lane of Shun Tat Street eastbound from its junction with Castle Peak Road – Hung Shui Kiu to a point about 45 metres east of the same junction;
  2. the northern kerbside lane of Shun Tat Street eastbound from a point about 75 metres east of its junction with Castle Peak Road – Hung Shui Kiu to a point about 180 metres east of the same junction;
  3. the northern kerbside lane of Shun Tat Street eastbound from a point about 240 metres east of its junction with Castle Peak Road – Hung Shui Kiu to a point about 580 metres east of the same junction;
  4. the southern kerbside lane of Shun Tat Street westbound from its junction with Castle Peak Road – Hung Shui Kiu to a point about 610 metres east of the same junction; and
  5. the U-turn section of Shun Tat Street near Yuen Long Highway.

    Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:-

  1. picking up or setting down passengers; or
  2. loading or unloading goods.

    The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate road markings.

    At the same time, the restricted zones gazetted in G.N. No. 6036 on 28 September 2001, G.N. No. 6445 on 19 October 2001, G.N. No. 3288 on 4 May 2018 and G.N. No. 9590 on 28 December 2018 will be rescinded.
