In exercise of the powers vested in me under section 40(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Ordinance, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10 a.m. on 30 August 2024, the section of South Lantau Road from a point about 300 metres east of the Tong Fuk Bus Terminus to a point about 70 metres west of its junction with Old Tung Chung Road will be subject to a speed limit of 50 kilometres per hour.

       At the same time, the existing speed limit of 70 kilometres per hour on the above road section will be rescinded.
