TRAFFIC ADVICE

Commissioning of New Parking Meters in Wan Chai District

      Motorists are advised that, with effect from 26 May 2021, the following new parking meters will be put into operation:

·   2 new parking meters covering 3 existing metered parking spaces on Tsun Yuen Street;

·   12 new parking meters covering 22 existing metered parking spaces on Wong Nai Chung Road;

·   5 new parking meters covering 9 existing metered parking spaces on Po Shin Street;

·   6 new parking meters covering 11 existing metered parking spaces on Wang Tak Street;

·   12 new parking meters covering 18 existing metered parking spaces on Village Road; and

·   4 new parking meters covering 7 existing metered parking spaces on Lau Sin Street.

      The details of the metered parking spaces at the specified locations are as follows:

Tsun Yuen Street (meter nos. 2774-2775), Wong Nai Chung Road (meter nos. 2728-2732, 2737-2742), Po Shin Street (meter nos. 2847-2849, 2852-2853), Wang Tak Street  (meter nos. 2857-2862), Village Road (meter nos. 2868-2872, 2877, 2889, 2890, 2894, 2896, 2897, 2899)

Operating period:   08.00 am - 12.00 midnight daily on Mondays to Saturdays (except public holidays);
                                  10.00 am - 10.00 pm daily on public holidays

Longest parking period for each transaction: 2 hours

Parking fee: $2.00 for every 15 minutes

Wong Nai Chung Road (meter no. 2733)

Operating period:   08.00 am - 12.00 midnight daily on Mondays to Saturdays (except public holidays);
                                  10.00 am - 10.00 pm daily on public holidays

Longest parking period for each transaction: 30 minutes

Parking fee: $2.00 for every 15 minutes

Lau Sin Street (meter nos. 1553-1556)

Operating period:   08.00 am - 12.00 midnight daily on Mondays to Saturdays (except public holidays);
                                  10.00 am - 10.00 pm daily on public holidays

Longest parking period for each transaction: 1 hour

Parking fee: $2.00 for every 15 minutes

      The Transport Department has set up a dedicated webpage for new parking meters (https://www.td.gov.hk/en/transport_in_hong_kong/parking/parking_meters/npm/index.html) and uploaded videos to introduce how to use the new parking meters, settle parking fees through various payment means and make remote payment through mobile application "HKeMeter".  For enquiries related to the operation of the new parking meters, motorists may call the service hotline (2332 3700) of the Transport Department's management contractor.

      While the information of the above metered parking spaces will be disseminated to motorists for reference through HKeMeter, the mobile / web version of HKeMobility and DATA.GOV.HK, it may be temporarily not available during the changeover from the existing parking meter system to the new system.
