ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374)

Prohibited Zones for Taxis and Buses at Discovery Bay, Lantau Island

In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 a.m. on 26 October 2014, the following roads in Discovery Bay, Lantau Island will be designated prohibited zones for taxis and buses 24 hours daily:—

 

(1)        The section of Siena Avenue between its junction with Discovery Bay Road and the roundabout 150m 

             south of the Discovery Bay Community Hall;

(2)        Siena One Drive;

(3)        Discovery Bay Road;

(4)        Bayside Drive;

(5)        Amalfi Drive;

(6)        Parkland Drive;

(7)        Chianti Drive;

(8)        Seabee Lane;

(9)        Headland Drive;

(10)      Seahorse Lane;

(11)      Seabird Lane;

(12)      Plaza Lane;

(13)      Parkridge Crescent;

(14)      Parkvale Drive;

(15)      Middle Lane;

(16)      Discovery Valley Road;

(17)      Vista Avenue;

(18)      Serene Avenue;

(19)      Costa Avenue;

(20)      Marina Drive;

(21)      Capevale Drive;

(22)      Caperidge Drive;

(23)      Capeland Drive

(24)      Bijou Drive; and

(25)      All unnamed access roads leading to the above-mentioned roads from (1) to (24).

 

Drivers of all taxis and buses (except buses with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport) will be prohibited from driving into the above prohibited zones 24 hours daily.

 

The extent of the prohibited zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs.
