Traffic and Transport Arrangements in Kowloon Bay

              Motorists are advised that to facilitate road improvement scheme in Kai Tak Development by Civil Engineering and Development Department, the following traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented in Kowloon Bay with effect from 9.30 am on 31 August 2011:-

1.          The section of Sheung Yee Road between Lam Fung Street and Wang Chiu Road will be converted from two-way to one-way eastbound;

2.          The section of Lam Fung Street between Wang Chiu Road and Sheung Yee Road will be converted from one-way eastbound to one-way westbound;

3.     All vehicles on Sheung Yee Road southbound will be banned to turn onto Lam Fung Street.

4.     All vehicles on Wang Chiu Road southbound will be maintained as existing condition and is not allowed to turn right onto Lam Fung Street.

5.     Vehicles heading for Megabox will be diverted via Wang Chiu Road northbound and then Lam Fung Street;

6.     KMB Route 15A on its journey to Tsz Wan Shan(North) will be diverted via Wai Yip Street, Sheung Yee Road, Wang Chiu Road and then resume its normal routeing. The bus stop at Sheung Yee Road will be relocated to Wang Chiu Road opposite to Exchange Tower;

7.        KMB/CTB Route 606 on its journey to Choi Wan will be diverted via Sheung Yee Road, Wang Chiu Road and then resume its normal routeing. The bus stop at Sheung Yee Road will be relocated to Wang Chiu Road opposite to Exchange Tower;

8.        KMB/NWFB Route 641 on its journey to Kai Yip will be diverted via Sheung Yee Road, Wang Chiu Road, Sheung Yuet Road and then resume its normal routeing. The bus stop at Sheung Yee Road will be relocated to Wang Chiu Road opposite to Exchange Tower;

9.     GMB Route 15 on its journey to Wai Yip Street will be diverted via Sheung Yee Road, Wang Chiu Road, Lam Fung Street, Sheung Yee Road and then resume its normal routeing. Passengers can use the GMB stop inside Megabox for broading/alighting;

10.   GMB Route 48 on its journey to Kowloon Bay Public Transport Terminus will be diverted via Sheung Yee Road, Wang Chiu Road, Lam Fung Street, Sheung Yee Road, Sheung Yuet Road and then resume its normal routeing. Passengers can continue to use the GMB stop inside Megabox for broading/alighting;

11.   GMB Route 68 on its journey to Kowloon Bay Public Transport Terminus will be diverted via Wang Chiu Road, Lam Fung Street, Sheung Yee Road and then resume its normal routeing; GMB Route 68 on its journey to Choi Wan Estate will be diverted via Sheung Yee Road, Wang Chiu Road southbound and then resume its normal routeing. The GMB stop at Sheung Yee Road will be cancelled. Passengers can use the GMB stop inside Megabox for broading/alighting; and

12.   GMB Route 106 on its journey to Kowloon Bay Public Transport Terminus will be diverted via Sheung Yee Road, Wang Chiu Road, Lam Fung Street, Sheung Yee Road, Sheung Yuet Road and then resume its normal routeing; GMB Route 106 on its journey to Po Lam will be diverted via Sheung Yuet Road, Sheung Yee Road, Sheung Yee Road Flyover and then resume its normal routeing. The GMB stop at Sheung Yee Road will be cancelled. Passengers can use the GMB stop inside Megabox for broading/alighting.  

                  Bus companies and GMB operators will put up necessary notices to advise passengers of the changes. Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists.
