Special traffic and transport arrangements in Wan Chai on Friday

     The Transport Department (TD) today (May 6) reminded the public that to facilitate the departure of guests from Metropark Hotel in Wan Chai this Friday (May 8), special traffic and transport arrangements would be implemented in the vicinity of the hotel from 4.30pm to 11pm on that day.

     The following roads will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic:

(a) Hennessy Road eastbound between Fenwick Street and Luard Road;
(b) Fenwick Street between Lockhart Road and Hennessy Road; and
(c) the slow lane of Lockhart Road westbound between Fenwick Street and Luard Road.

     Vehicles on Hennessy Road eastbound will be diverted via Fenwick Street southbound, Johnston Road eastbound, Luard Road northbound or Fleming Road northbound to Hennessy Road.

     Bus routes travelling on the affected roads will also be diverted.

     Motorists should exercise tolerance and patience, and follow the instructions of the Police in case of traffic congestion. The public should be alert to the latest traffic news on radio and television.
