Temporary traffic and transport arrangements in Tsuen Wan

 The Transport Department reminded people today (June 14) that to facilitate the funeral ceremony of a Fire Services Department officer, the following traffic and transport arrangements would be implemented in Tsuen Wan tomorrow (June 15):

(A) From about 11.10am to 11.25am  
 
(i) Road Closure
 
     The section of Texaco Road northbound at-grade carriageway between Tsuen Tsing Interchange and Yeung Uk Road will be temporarily closed for about 15 minutes.
 
(ii) Temporary Traffic Arrangements
   
     Motorists on Tsuen Tsing Interchange are advised to divert via Texaco Road westbound and Ma Tau Pa Road northbound.
 
     Motorists on Tsing Tsuen Road are advised to divert via Texaco Road North.

(iii) Temporary Public Transport Service Arrangements
 
(a) Bus Services

     KMB route no. 42C will be diverted to travel via Tsuen Tsing Interchange, Texaco Road, Ma Tau Pa Road, Yeung Uk Road, Texaco Road and Tsuen Fu Street before resuming its normal routeing.
 
     KMB route nos. 41M, 42M, 49X, 251M and 263M will be diverted to travel via Tsuen Tsing Interchange, Texaco Road, Ma Tau Pa Road and Yeung Uk Road before resuming their normal routeings. The en-route bus stop at Texaco Road near Lung Tak Street will be temporarily suspended. A bus stop will be re-provided at Yeung Uk Road near Wang Lung Street.
 
     KMB route nos. 43B and 243M will be diverted to travel via Tsuen Tsing Interchange, Texaco Road, Ma Tau Pa Road, Luen Yan Street and Sha Tsui Road before resuming their normal routeings. The en-route bus stop at Sha Tsui Road outside Tai Wo Hau Factory Building will be temporarily suspended.
 
(b) GMB Services
 
     GMB route nos. 407, 409 and 312 will be diverted to travel via Tsuen Tsing Interchange, Texaco Road, Ma Tau Pa Road and Yeung Uk Road before resuming their normal routeings.
 
(iv) Prohibition to learner drivers
 
     Learner drivers will be prohibited from entering the section of Texaco Road northbound at-grade carriageway between Tsuen Tsing Interchange and Yeung Uk Road.

(B) From about 11.30am to 12.10pm
 
(i) Road Closure
 
     The section of Castle Peak Road westbound carriageway between Tai Chung Road and Sha Tsui Road will be temporarily closed for about 40 minutes.

(ii) Temporary Traffic Arrangements
 
     Affected motorists are advised to divert via Tai Chung Road southbound and Sha Tsui Road westbound.
 
(iii) Temporary Public Transport Service Arrangements
 
(a) Bus Services
 
     KMB route nos. 30, 30X, 39A and 39M will be diverted to travel via Castle Peak Road, Tai Chung Road, Hoi Hing Road, Chai Wan Kok roundabout, Castle Peak Road and Tsuen King Circuit before resuming their normal routeing.
 
     KMB route nos. 34, 34M, 48X, 234X, 53, 234B and 234X will be diverted to travel via Castle Peak Road, Tai Chung Road, Hoi Hing Road and Hoi On Road before resuming their normal routeings. The en-route bus stops at Castle Peak Road near Hi-tech Building will be temporarily suspended.  A bus stop will be re-provided at Tai Chung Road outside Fuk Loi Estate.
 
     KMB route nos. 57M, 59A, 59M, 60M, 61M, 66, 66M, 67M, 68A, 68M, 69M, 234A, 263M, 265M and 269M will be diverted to travel via Castle Peak Road, Tai Chung Road, Hoi Hing Road, Tsuen Wan Road and Tuen Mun Road before resuming their normal routeings. The en-route bus stops at Castle Peak Road near Hi-tech Building will be temporarily suspended. A bus stop will be re-provided at Tai Chung Road outside Fuk Loi Estate.
 
     Long Win route nos. E31 and A31 will be diverted to travel via Sai Lau Kok Road and Mei Wan Street to access Discovery Park Bus Terminus.

(b) GMB Services
 
     GMB route nos. 95A, 96C and 96M will be diverted to travel via Tai Chung Road, Sha Tsui Road and Castle Peak Road before resuming their normal routeings.
 
     GMB route nos. 95 and 95M will be diverted to travel via Tai Chung Road, Sha Tsui Road and Castle Peak Road, Chai Wan Kok roundabout, Castle Peak Road and Tsing King Circuit before resuming their normal routeing.
 
     Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists.  Notices will be displayed by bus companies to advise passengers of the temporary arrangements.  Passengers should take notice of passenger information at bus stops and should watch out the latest traffic news via media.
