ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374)

Restricted Zones on Hung To Road, Shing Yip Street and
Tsun Yip Street, Kwun Tong


       In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 10 January 2025, the following road sections will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:-


(a)    the western kerbside lane of Tsun Yip Street from a point about 220 metres north of its junction with Hung To Road to a point about 20 metres south of the same junction;

(b)    the eastern kerbside lane of Tsun Yip Street from a point about 20 metres north of its junction with Hung To Road to a point about 25 metres south of the same junction;

(c)    the southern kerbside lane of Hung To Road from a point about 15 metres east of its junction with Tsun Yip Street to a point about 10 metres west of the same junction;

(d)    the northern kerbside lane of Hung To Road from a point about 10 metres east of its junction with Tsun Yip Street to a point about 10 metres west of the same junction;

(e)    the northern kerbside lane of Shing Yip Street from a point about 20 metres west of its junction with King Yip Street to a point about 45 metres west of the same junction;

(f)    the section of Shing Yip Street from its junction with Hoi Yuen Road to a point about 25 metres east of the same junction; and

(g)    the northern kerbside lane of Hung To Road from its junction with Chong Yip Street to a point about 100 metres east of the same junction.


       Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:


(a)    picking up or setting down passengers; or

(b)    loading or unloading goods.


       The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate road markings.


       At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
