Traffic Advice
Cross-boundary Transport Services and Special Traffic Arrangements during and around the Christmas and New Year holidays

The Transport Department (TD) anticipates that there may be a number of cross-boundary passengers taking public transport services to travel to the Mainland / Macao via the land boundary control points during and around the Christmas and New Year holidays. As the waiting time for public transport services may be longer, passengers should observe order and heed advice from the on-site Police and staff of the concerned public transport service operators. Cross-boundary coach passengers are also advised to plan their journeys and reserve coach tickets ahead.

Members of the public are also advised that, subject to actual traffic conditions, special traffic arrangements may be implemented at Lok Ma Chau Control Point and Shenzhen Bay Port during and around the Christmas and New Year holidays to facilitate smooth access of public transport vehicles to above control points. Motorists are advised to pay extra attention to variable message signs and traffic signs along the road. Motorists are also appealed to be patient in case of traffic congestion, and follow instructions of the Police Officers on site.

For Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (HZMB) Hong Kong Port, the public can now make use of "HKeMobility" to access the snapshots of traffic condition at inbound and outbound vehicle plazas of HZMB Hong Kong Port. As for the HZMB Zhuhai Port, the public can also check the real time situations of the vehicle clearance plaza through the「大橋口岸實時通關」service on the「港珠澳大橋珠海口岸」or 「珠海發布」WeChat official accounts (or visit https://traffic-info.gzazhka.com:5015/#/), in order to plan their journeys ahead. Moreover, motorists are reminded to always comply with the traffic control measures implemented by the Zhuhai authority when driving on the HZMB main bridge. Vehicles shall not occupy the emergency lane unless instructed by the Zhuhai authority.

Members of the public are advised to watch out for the latest traffic news through radio and television broadcasts and TD's "HKeMobility" mobile application.
