Temporary Traffic and Transport Arrangements at Tai Tong, Yuen Long

        To facilitate the upsurge of visitors going to Tai Lam Country Park, members of the public are advised that the following temporary traffic and transport arrangement will be implemented at Tai Tong during the period as specified below:

(I)    Road Closure

        The section of Tai Tong Shan Road between the Pavilion and Tai Tong Shan Road Car Park will be intermittently closed to all vehicular traffic from about 7.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m. daily on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays from 7 December 2024 (Saturday) to 12 January 2025 (Sunday).

(II)   Special Public Transport Arrangement

        Bus services operated in Tai Tong will be enhanced with details as follows:

1.     MTRCL Route K66A (Long Ping Station (near Yuet Ping House, Long Ping Estate) – Tai Tong Shan Road (near pavilion))*

* Departures from Tai Tong Shan Road may be diverted via (i) Shap Pat Heung Road, Yuen Long Highway and Tong Yan San Tsuen Interchange; or (ii) Ma Tong Road, Ma Tin Road and Yuen Long Tai Yuk Road to Long Ping, depending on traffic condition. For departures diverting via routeing of (ii), stopping points at Ma Tin Tsuen and Yuen Long Town Hall would be provided.


        Operating period
        (From 7 December 2024 to 12 January 2025)
        On Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays:
        From 9.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. for Tai Tong bound service; and,
        From 1.00 p.m. to 7.00 p.m. for Long Ping Station bound service.

        Fare
        $5.1 per single journey for adult and $2.2 per single journey for child and senior citizen

2.     KMB Route 68R (YOHO Mall Transport Interchange – Tai Tong)

        Operating period

        (From 25 to 26 December 2024)
        From 9.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. for Tai Tong bound service; and,
        From 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. for YOHO Mall bound service.

        Fare

        $7.7 per single journey for adult

        Actual implementation of and adjustments to the arrangement of road closure, traffic control and public transport services diversion will be made by the Police at the time depending on the prevailing circumstances, traffic and crowd conditions in the areas.

        Appropriate temporary traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists. Motorists are advised not to drive to the affected areas, and to drive with utmost care and patience and take heed of the instruction given by the Police on site.
