Temporary Traffic and Transport Arrangements in Tung Chung


        Members of the public are advised that in order to facilitate the mobilisation of machines for the construction works for Tung Chung Line Extension, the following temporary traffic and transport arrangements in Tung Chung will be implemented from 1.00 am to 4.30 am on 25 and 27 November 2024:

I.     Lane closures
       Depending on the progress of works, some traffic lanes of the following road sections will be intermittently closed:

(a) the section of Yi Tung Road (southbound) between Yu Nga Court and Tung Chung Eastern Interchange;
(b) Tung Chung Eastern Interchange;
(c) the slip road leading from North Lantau Highway (westbound) to Tung Chung Eastern Interchange;
(d) the section of Yu Tung Road (both bounds) between Shun Tung Road and Tung Chung Eastern Interchange;
(e) On Tung Street (both bounds);
(f) the section of Shun Tung Road (westbound) from its junction with Yu Tung Road to its northern junction with Tat Tung Road; and
(g) the section of Shun Tung Road (eastbound) from its northern junction with Tat Tung Road to its southern junction with Tat Tung Road.

II.     Public transport arrangements

       The bus stops of CTB route nos. N11, N21, N21A, LWB route nos. N30 and N31 (Airport bound) on Shun Tung Road (westbound) opposite to Tung Chung Crescent will be suspended.

       Appropriate traffic signs will be provided on site to guide motorists. Traffic delay is expected during the implementation of the above temporary traffic and transport arrangements. Motorists are advised to drive with utmost care and patience. The bus companies will display notices to advise passengers of the temporary arrangements. Members of the public are advised to plan their journey early and allow more travelling time.
