Transport Department Notice
Temporary Traffic and Transport Arrangements on Tai Po Road – Sha Tin, Sha Tin
Notice is hereby given that in order to facilitate road works, the following temporary traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented from 1.00 am to 5.00 am daily on 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, 22, 28 and 29 November 2024:
A. Road Closures
The following road sections will be temporarily closed to all vehicular access:

- The slip roads from Sha Tin Rural Committee Road to Tai Po Road - Sha Tin southbound;
- The bus lane of the slip road from Tai Po Road - Sha Tin northbound to Sha Tin Rural Committee Road eastbound; and
- The bus lane from Sha Tin Rural Committee Road to Tai Po Road - Sha Tin southbound.
B. Banning of Turning Movements
The following turning movements will be prohibited:

- Turning left from Sha Tin Rural Committee Road westbound onto Tai Po Road – Sha Tin southbound; and
- Turning right from Sha Tin Rural Committee Road eastbound onto Tai Po Road – Sha Tin southbound.
C. Traffic Diversion
Affected vehicles on Sha Tin Rural Committee Road heading for Tai Po Road - Sha Tin southbound will be diverted via Tai Po Road – Sha Tin northbound and Fo Tan Road eastbound.
D. Public Transport Arrangements

- KMB Route Nos. N73 (Sha Tin Central bound) and N271 (Hung Hom Station bound), LWB Route No. N42 (Tung Chung Station bound) and XHT Route No. N170 (Sha Tin Central bound) will be diverted via Yuen Wo Road southbound, Tam Kon Po Street, Sha Tin Centre Street southbound, Pak Hok Ting Street and Sha Tin Centre Street northbound before resuming to their original routeings;
- LWB Route No.NA40 (HZMB Hong Kong Port bound) will be diverted via Yuen Wo Road southbound, Tam Kon Po Street, Sha Tin Centre Street southbound, Pak Hok Ting Street, Sha Tin Centre Street northbound, Sha Tin Central Bus Terminus, Sha Tin Centre Street northbound, Wang Pok Street, Yuen Wo Road northbound, Sha Tin Rural Committee Road westbound, Tai Po Road - Sha Tin northbound and Fo Tan Road eastbound before resuming to its original routeing; and
- LWB Route No. NA40 (Wu Kai Sha bound) will be diverted via Sha Tin Rural Committee Road eastbound, Yuen Wo Road southbound, Tam Kon Po Street, Sha Tin Centre Street southbound, Pak Hok Ting Street, Sha Tin Centre Street northbound before resuming to its original routeing.
Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists. Public transport operators will display notices to advise passengers of the above arrangements.
