Temporary Traffic and Transport Arrangements on Fanling Highway


          Notice is hereby given that to facilitate road works, the following temporary traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented on Fanling Highway from 00.30 a.m. to 05.30 a.m. daily on 19, 21 and 23 November, 3, 5, 12, 14, 17, 19 and 21 December 2024 as specified below.

(1) ROAD CLOSURE

The following road sections will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic:

  1. The slip road (Exit 7A) leading from Fanling Highway southbound to Tai Wo Service Road East; and
  2. The temporary access road from Kau Lung Hang to Fanling Highway Bus-Bus Interchange.

(2) TRAFFIC DIVERSION

  1. Vehicles on Fanling Highway southbound heading for Heung Yuen Wai Boundary Control Point will be diverted via Fanling Highway southbound, Lam Kam Road Interchange, Fanling Highway northbound and Heung Yuen Wai Highway northbound;
  2. Vehicles on Fanling Highway southbound heading for Kau Lung Hang will be diverted via Fanling Highway southbound, Lam Kam Road Interchange, Tai Wo Service Road West northbound, elevated road near Nam Wa Po and Tai Wo Service Road East northbound;
  3. Vehicles on Kau Lung Hang heading for Heung Yuen Wai Boundary Control Point will be diverted via Tai Wo Service Road East southbound, elevated road near Yuen Leng Village, Tai Wo Service Road West southbound, Fanling Highway northbound and Heung Yuen Wai Highway northbound; and
  4. Vehicles on Kau Lung Hang heading for Tai Po and Kowloon will be diverted via Tai Wo Service Road East southbound, elevated Road near Yuen Leng Village, Tai Wo Service Road West southbound, Lam Kam Road Interchange and Tolo Highway southbound.

(3) PUBLIC TRANSPORT SERVICES ARRANGEMENTS

(A) Franchised Bus Service

The en-route stop of KMB Route Nos. 277X (Lam Tin Station bound), 278X (Tsuen Wan bound) and W3 (Jordan bound) at Fanling Highway Bus-bus interchange will be suspended.

          Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists. Motorists are advised to follow the instructions on site and drive in utmost care. Notices will be displayed by the bus company to inform the passengers of the temporary service adjustments.
