In exercise of the powers vested in me under section 40(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Ordinance, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 1.00 a.m. to 5.30 a.m. on 31 October, 5 November and 17 December 2024, the following road sections will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 70 kilometres per hour:-

1. the section of Fanling Highway westbound from a point about 170 metres east of the slip road leading to Kwu Tung Road to a point of its junction with San Tin Highway westbound; and
2. the section of San Tin Highway westbound from a point of its junction with Fanling Highway westbound to a point about 330 metres west of the same junction.

        Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists.

        At the same time, the existing speed limit of 100 kilometres per hour on the above road sections will be temporarily rescinded.
