ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374G)
Extension of Temporary Restricted Zones in
Bute Street and Sai Yeung Choi Street South, Mong Kok


       In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulation, Chapter 374G, I hereby direct that with effect from 6.00 p.m. on 31 October 2024 to 6.00 p.m. on 28 February 2025, the following road sections will continue to be temporarily designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:-


(i)     the northern kerbside lane of Bute Street from its junction with Sai Yeung Choi Street South to a point about 20 metres west of the same junction;

(ii)    the western kerbside lane of Sai Yeung Choi Street South from its junction with Bute Street to a point about 20 metres north of the same junction; and

(iii)   the eastern kerbside lane of Sai Yeung Choi Street South from a point about 15 metres north of its junction with Bute Street to a point about 20 metres north of the same junction.


        Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:-


(a)    picking up or setting down passengers; or

(b)    loading or unloading goods.


       The extent of the restricted zones have been indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.


       At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will continue to be temporarily rescinded.
