Members of the public are advised that to facilitate road works, the following temporary traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented on Ying Tung Road from 10 p.m. on 13 December 2024 to 5.30 a.m. of the following day:-
I. Road Closure
A section of Ying Tung Road westbound and eastbound from the roundabout of Ying Tung Road to a point about 140 m westward will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic.
II. Traffic Diversion
Affected vehicles less than 10 meters in length from Ying Tung Road northbound heading to Ying Tung Road southbound can make U-turn at Ying Hong Street. Affected vehicles with 10 meters or more in length from Ying Tung Road northbound heading to Ying Tung Road southbound can make U-turn at an unnamed road 140 meters north from the junction of Ying Hei Road and Ying Tung Road. At the same time, vehicles can still access to Ying Tung Estate Car Park.
III. Public Transport Arrangements
During the works period, the Ying Tung Estate Bus Terminus is suspended and the bus stop on Ying Tung Road northbound outside the Visionary will be relocated 20 meters southward. Affected passengers of Ying Tung Estate Bus Terminus can board and alight on the bus stop on Ying Tung Road southbound opposite to the Visionary which is about 200 meters away from Ying Tung Estate. Signage will be provided on site to guide the passengers. During the works period, the following bus routes will be affected: -
IV. Continuous utilization of a new Road section
Besides, an unnamed temporary road section connecting to the eastern side of Ying Tung Road will continue to be temporarily opened to all vehicular traffic. All vehicular traffic including franchised bus routes NLB routes nos. 37, 37M, 37H, N37, CTB route nos. E11A, E11B, E21A, E21D, E21X, E22S, S52A, S56, LWB route nos. E32A, E36A, N31 and Public Light Bus Route no. 901 from Ying Tung Road eastbound will be diverted via unnamed road, roundabout and unnamed road before resuming their original routeings on Ying Tung Road westbound.
Appropriate traffic signs will be erected to guide motorists.
The public transport operators concerned will display notices to advise passengers of the above arrangement.
