In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374G, I hereby direct that with effect from 5:30 a.m. on 25 August 2024, the following road sections will be temporarily designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:-

• the northern and southern kerbside lanes of Ying Tung Road about 120 metres east from its junction with the slip road to Ying Tung Estate to a point about 180 metres east of the same junction; and
• the eastern and western kerbside lanes of temporary road connecting to Ying Tung Road from a point of its junction with Ying Tung Road to a point about 150 metres south of the same junction at the cul-de-sac.

          Within the above restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:-

• picking up or setting down passengers; or
• loading or unloading goods.

          The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.
