ROAD TRAFFIC ORDINANCE (CHAPTER 374)
Extension of Temporary Speed Limit
on Castle Peak Road – Tsing Lung Tau, Tsuen Wan

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under section 40(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Ordinance, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 6.00 p.m. on 31 July 2024 to 6.00 p.m. on 31 January 2025, the following road sections will continue to be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 50 kilometres per hour.

1. 1. The section of Castle Peak Road – Tsing Lung Tau westbound from its junction with Lung Yue Road to a point about 480 metres west of the same junction; and
   2. the section of Castle Peak Road – Tsing Lung Tau eastbound from its junction with the slip road leading to L'AQUATIQUE to a point about 230 metres east of the same junction.

Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists.

At the same time, the existing speed limit of 70 kilometres per hour on the above road section will continue to be temporarily rescinded.
