Members of the public are advised that to facilitate road works, the following temporary traffic and transport arrangement will be implemented on Man Tung Road from 7 a.m. on 28 June 2024 to 7 p.m. on 30 September 2024:-
(a) Lane Closure
A section of slow lane of Man Tung Road eastbound from its junction with Kin Tung Road to a point about 60 meters east of the same junction will be closed to all vehicular traffic;
A section of fast lane of Man Tung Road eastbound and westbound from its junction with Ying Hei Road to a point about 65 meters west of the same junction will be closed to all vehicular traffic; and
A section of slow lane of Man Tung Road westbound from its junction with Hei Tung Street to a point about 40 meters west of the same junction will be closed to all vehicular traffic.
Motorists could still make access to the remaining traffic lanes on Man Tung Road.
(b) Banning of Turning Movement
All vehicles exceeding 7 meters in length will be prohibited from making left turn from Kin Tung Road eastbound onto Man Tung Road eastbound;
All vehicles exceeding 7 meters in length will be prohibited from making left turn from the unnamed road westbound onto Man Tung Road westbound.
All vehicles will be prohibited from making right turn from Man Tung Road eastbound onto Hei Tung Street eastbound; and
All vehicles will be prohibited from making right turn from Hei Tung Street westbound onto Man Tung Road eastbound.
(c) Traffic Diversion
Affected vehicles exceeding 7 meters in length on Kin Tung Road eastbound heading to Man Tung Road eastbound will be diverted via Man Tung Road westbound, roundabout and Man Tung Road eastbound;
Affected vehicles exceeding 7 meters in length on the unnamed road westbound heading to Man Tung Road westbound will be diverted via Man Tung Road eastbound, Ying Tung Road eastbound, roundabout, Ying Tung Road westbound and Hei Tung Street eastbound;
Affected vehicles on Man Tung Road eastbound heading for Hei Tung Street eastbound will be diverted via Man Tung Road eastbound, Ying Tung Road eastbound, roundabout, Ying Tung Road westbound and Hei Tung Street eastbound; and
Affected vehicles on Hei Tung Street westbound heading for Man Tung Road eastbound will be diverted via Man Tung Road westbound, roundabout and Man Tung Road eastbound.
(d) Public Transport Arrangements
The bus stop of NLB Route No. 37 (Ying Tung Estate Bound) on Kin Tung Road will be suspended. Affected passengers heading for Ying Tung Estate are advised to use the bus stop on Man Tung Road outside Caribbean Coast Phase 2; and
Residents' Service Route No. NR04 (Tung Chung Station bound) will be diverted via Man Tung Road westbound, Wai Tung Road northbound and Tung Chung Waterfront Road eastbound before resuming to its original routeing.
Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists. Public transport operators concerned will display notices to advise passengers of the above arrangements.
