Trial of a New Electronic Payment System on
Hong Kong Island Green Minibus (GMB) Route Nos. 8 and 8X

        Members of the public are advised that a new electronic payment service would be introduced on HKI GMB Route Nos. 8 and 8X starting from 4 p.m. on 28 January 2019 (Monday). Passengers using the above service are required to download the “AlipayHK” mobile application from their smartphones, open the “Easy Go” function in that application prior to boarding, and to use the scanner next to the Octopus reader to scan the QR code shown in the application for fare payment. 

        For details of the above trial scheme, please refer to the operator's notice.  Other than the above service, passengers may continue to choose to use cash or Octopus for fare payment.
