ROAD TRAFFIC ORDINANCE (CHAPTER 374)

Speed Limit on Cheung Pei Shan Road, Tsuen Wan

          In exercise of the powers vested in me under section 40(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Ordinance, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 26 July 2013, the following road sections of Cheung Pei Shan Road will be subject to a speed limit of 80 kilometers per hour : -

1. The eastbound carriageway of Cheung Pei Shan Road between its merging point with Castle Peak Road - Tsuen Wan and a point about 2200 metres west of its junction with the entrance of Shing   Mun Tunnel eastbound tunnel tube; and
2. The westbound carriageway of Cheung Pei Shan Road between a point about 2300 metres west of its junction with the exit of Shing Mun Tunnel westbound tunnel tube and its merging point with    Castle Peak Road - Tsuen Wan.

         Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists.

         At the same time, the speed limit of 70 kilometres per hour on the above road sections as gazetted under G.N. 6790 dated 27 October 2006 will be rescinded.
