New loading / unloading arrangements at Pedder Street outside The Landmark

With effect from 10 am on Monday, April 15, 2002, Transport Department will divide the loading / unloading facility on Pedder Street outside The Landmark, Central into the taxi only portion and the private car only portion, with a view to better managing traffic conditions in the vicinity.

From 7 am to 7 pm, the front twenty-five metres of the loading / unloading area (near Des Voeux Road Central) will be restricted to pick-up / drop-off of private cars. At the same time, the rear twenty-five metre of the loading / unloading area (near Queen's Road Central) will be restricted to pick-up / drop-off of taxis.

The new arrangement will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.
